Our quality assurance

In our pursuit of customer satisfaction, we are pleased to announce that we conform and have been accredited as ISO9001 and ISO 14001 for the sale and distribution of waste and grey water pumps and ancillary equipment.

According to Wikipedia

ISO 9000 is a series of standards, developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), that define, establish, and maintain a quality assurance system for manufacturing and service industries. ISO 9000 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based. ISO 9001 deals with the requirements that organisations wishing to meet the standard must fulfil.

and

ISO 14000 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organizations (a) minimize how their operations (processes, etc.) negatively affect the environment (i.e., cause adverse changes to air, water, or land); (b) comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and (c) continually improve in the above.

We are pleased that we now have this accreditation as this reflects our goal of

  • Continually improving customer satisfaction
  • Getting your pump solution correctly specified and installed 1st time
  • Fewer returned products
  • Commitment to quality

A big congratulations goes to the whole team, but particularly Shannon who was responsible for making sure we all know and comply to our quality management system.

Zero waste to landfill

In March 2015 we achieved our target of sending no waste to landfill from our office and warehouse in Aldermaston.

To achieve this the first thing we completed in July 2014 was to change our waste contractor to Hills, We chose this contractor as all the energy plants recycle and transform business waste into valuable resources. You can read all about it here.

We also made a commitment to double the amount of recyclable waste we produce and half the general waste. This was achieved by making recycling easier, increasing recycling bins at the office and incorporating the Haz Box service from Grundon.

This service recycles all the hazardous waste we produce in the way of fluorescent tubes, batteries and toners.

These services have been in operation for a few months now, so we are delighted to have achieved our commitment of 0% waste to landfill.
