Commercial Sewage Pumping Station

Commercial Sewage Pumping Station

The picture of the pumping station was taken by our in-house pump consultant Steve Murphy who attended site to assist with the tank installation.

We were asked to help with the design of a commercial sewage pumping station for installation at a leading hotel chain in Heathrow.

In a commercial setting, the pumping station has to be robust enough to cope with the levels of activity that it will be put under, but it also needs to fit within the site. In order to achieve this, peak flow rates, pump capacity and pressure calculations all play their part to the correct specification. The GRP tank that you can see was customised to the site layout and then manufactured by Pump Technology Ltd.

Steve Murphy, leads our project team here at Pump Technology. He is responsible for helping civil consultants and contractors with their wastewater, surface water and sewage pumping requirements. A large proportion of this assistance is in the selection of the correct tank size, pumps and control panel options. Additionally, Steve oversees the required building specifications for the site, to ensure the equipment supplied meets all required standards.

Our projects team get involved in many applications from commercial environments, housing developments or domestic situations (basements for example). If required (as in this instance) we can also assist with the installation of the product to ensure all on site requirements are met.

We are lucky to have an in-house consultant that can assist with this level of knowledge. If you have an application requiring the expertise of our in-house consultant Steve Murphy please do not hesitate to ask for his assistance.
