Package Sewage Pumping Station for 4 Residential Houses
Project Location: Andover Rd, Newbury, Berkshire
Requirements: Package Sewage Pumping Station for 4 off Residential Houses
Westbuild Homes Ltd, has constructed homes in the Thames Valley & Home Counties for over 50 years. It has established an enviable reputation in creating properties of the finest calibre that are truly “Homes Designed to be Homes”
In 2015 the company wished to construct 4 off prestige houses close to the centre of Newbury. However, the ideal site would require a sewage pumping station for all the properties.
Westbuild knew the levels, specification, and position of the pumping station that was required for this site. It would be positioned at the bottom of the drive of the central property, the houses being in a nice crescent sweep, with the control panel mounted within an attractive wooden kiosk some distance away, so much so that a junction box would be required.
The company naturally asked a number of potential pump station suppliers to bid for the work, eventually choosing Pump Technology Ltd. Matthew Brook, of Westbuild, says
“Whilst we did select the PumpMatic below ground pumping station from Pump Technology Ltd, for ultimately best meeting our technical and commercial requirements, we were also reassured by their level of support”
“In particular it was of great value to have Steve Murphy, Pump Technology Ltd’s, in-house consultant, always on-hand to answer questions or visit site, especially as we wished to position the control panel and kiosk in a non-intrusive location”
As Pump Technology Ltd, manufacture its own tanks, this always helps them to provide a detailed, customised specifications of the PumpMatic pumping station, control panel, pumps and cabling for the client’s site layout. At order, for example, the tank inlet & outlet heights were then manufactured to the request of the site engineer.
“The pump station arrived on time and to specification. The clear installation instruction, plus the tank being customised to our site drainage level meant our ground worker completed the tank work easily and efficiently”.
