Joe Leach – Just Get Out And Paddle Hard!

We have a love for individuals who just ‘do-it’ in this instance its for the adventurer Joe Leach who is planning on a one-thousand-mile solo circumnavigation of Ireland, a well-publicised record attempt as he seeks to go faster than Jeff Allen and Harry Whelan’s impressive 25 days, all in a humble sea Kayak. (he already holds the record for the fastest circumnavigation of Britain by kayak 2012)

As all endurance adventurers know, as well as pushing ones body and mental state to the edge, it’s important that as part of the package, the physical equipment is the best that is commercially available; which is why we have put our hands in our pockets and helped Joe with the best light weight tent and also a Go-Pro video camera. You can see the footage of his first time using it below

Joe is now in training as the launch date for the attempt is in about 8 weeks time (it will be weather dependent of course).

We’ll be covering his journey with updates as and when we can, but we wish Joe firstly a safe experience and we hope he completes the trip with the record that he so desperately wants. Joe will also be detailing his training and trip on his blog that you can find here

Any monies that we raise for Joe, will be given to our chosen charity The Alexander Devine Childrens Hospice Service.

Our final words are to Joe…..Just Get Out And Paddle Hard…
