The Berkshire School Games

On Wednesday 16th March we helped out a group of ten 8-9 year olds to compete in the School Games Winter Festival 2016.

The vision for the Games is: – To deliver a sustainable educational, sporting and community 2012 legacy across Berkshire

The Local Organising Committee is committed to ensuring that the benefits of the School Games reach far beyond the competition and event days. The sporting events will be focal points for the development work that will take place in schools, clubs and other community settings. The focus will be on developing the skills, confidence and commitment of children and young people through the medium of sport and other areas related to sport and to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The youngsters are all from Garland Junior School and we transported them to Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre to take part in the rugby competition. They did extremely well winning 3 of the 4 games.

A fantastic day was had by all of the poo-pumpers, you can see some of the photos taken below.
